'Bharat Ratna' Pandit Bhimsen Joshi along with his Guru Behan Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Gangubai Hangal started a tradition of classical program Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Samaroh at their Guru Pandit Sawai Gandharv's birthplace Kundol. In this Samaroh Guruji and Vidushi Gangubai Hangal had visited regularly to serve and save Indian Classical Music Tradition.

The devotion of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi towards his Guru was incomparable. We are following the same tradition and path showed by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and we started All India Classical Music & Dance Festival ‘Bhimsen Utsav’ on auspicious occasion of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi's birthday on his birthplace Gadag  Kala Vikas Parishad wishes that disciple of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and one who loves the music of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi should visit to Gadag and pay their musical service at birthplace of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi.

Bhimsen Utsav is 3 days All India Music & Dance Festival in which first 2 days All India Radio recognized Artists participate and on the 3rd day A-Grade AIR Artists pays their musical service. In this auspicious occasion we offer 'Pandit Bhimsen Joshi National Award' to A-Grade AIR Artists and 'Gaanyogi Panchakshari Kala Vikas Puraskar' to upcoming as well as rising young Artists.

We wish this Sangeet Utsav should get international popularity like Kundol Utsav and Pune Utsav commenced by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi with each other's co-operation and co-ordination.

Apart from Gadag's Bheemsen Utsav, Kala Vikas Parishad has stated ‘BHIMSEN MUSIC FOUNDATION’ in each state of India as we have planned to do 'Sangeet Bharati' in remembrance of all Bharat Ratna Music Stalwarts, 'Bhim Gaan Yaan' for young Artistes and All India level 'Voice of Bhimsen Music Youth Festival'  to provide stage to upcoming young Artists to serve Indian Classical Music with each other co-ordination and co-operation.  Action Plan has been started in all over India. In this series recently we commenced classical programs Under Kala Vikas Parishad's Bhimsen Music Foundation at Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Hyderabad, Udaipur, Jaipur, Bhopal etc.  Kindly join hands with taking membership of Foundation for a good cause.
